Inspections
The Inspections are beneficial to
both the seller and the buyer. For the seller, the benefit
is that it brings the best possible prices for the equipment.
For the buyer, the report provides assurance and confidence
regarding what they are bidding on. The Guaranteed Inspection
Report ensures that the Equipment, at the time it was
inspected by Hodgins or our agents, is in the condition
stated in the Guaranteed Inspection Report. The Equipment
is inspected by Hodgins or our agents at the seller's
location and does not need to be transported (saving
the seller considerable expense over traditional auctions).
The detailed Guaranteed Inspection Report will be published
and available on the website for all registered bidders
to view.

The Reports
Hodgins Online Auctions uses trained
professional equipment inspectors to perform accurate,
prompt, standardized inspections at your location. Typical
inspections on Equipment may take two to three hours
and involve an overall evaluation of the condition of
your equipment.
Hodgins Online Auctions Web site
includes Guaranteed Inspection Reports that provide
detailed information regarding the “as is, where
is” mechanical condition of equipment at the time
of inspection. Its purpose is to provide a buyer with
a high level of confidence and assurance in a machine’s
mechanical state. The inspection is conducted at a systems
level and highlights key components such as the wear
on major parts and the functionality of attachments,
as applicable.
Each item is rated and comments on
its main systems and components are included. Also included
in the Guaranteed Inspection Report are photos and functional
test results. The Guaranteed Inspection Report may include
an oil/fluid analysis report.
The Guarantee
Our
“Guaranteed Inspection Reports” ensures
our buyers that "what they see (in the inspection
report) is what they get (when they receive the equipment)",
guaranteed.
