Our Guaranteed Inspection Reports bring great results.

A guaranteed inspection reassures buyers and helps to generate more bids.

The Inspections are beneficial to both the seller and the buyer. For the seller, the benefit is that it brings the best possible prices for the equipment. For the buyer, the report provides assurance and confidence regarding what they are bidding on. The Guaranteed Inspection Report ensures that the Equipment, at the time it was inspected by Hodgins or our agents, is in the condition stated in the Guaranteed Inspection Report. The Equipment is inspected by Hodgins or our agents at the seller's location and does not need to be transported (saving the seller considerable expense over traditional auctions). The detailed Guaranteed Inspection Report will be published and available on the website for all registered bidders to view.

The Reports

Hodgins Online Auctions uses trained professional equipment inspectors to perform accurate, prompt, standardized inspections at your location. Typical inspections on Equipment may take two to three hours and involve an overall evaluation of the condition of your equipment.

Hodgins Online Auctions Web site includes Guaranteed Inspection Reports that provide detailed information regarding the “as is, where is” mechanical condition of equipment at the time of inspection. Its purpose is to provide a buyer with a high level of confidence and assurance in a machine’s mechanical state. The inspection is conducted at a systems level and highlights key components such as the wear on major parts and the functionality of attachments, as applicable.

Each item is rated and comments on its main systems and components are included. Also included in the Guaranteed Inspection Report are photos and functional test results. The Guaranteed Inspection Report may include an oil/fluid analysis report.

The Guarantee

Our “Guaranteed Inspection Reports” ensures our buyers that "what they see (in the inspection report) is what they get (when they receive the equipment)", guaranteed.

Claims

All detailed information in the Guaranteed Inspection Report, including photographs will form the basis for comparison. Subject to the Deemed Receipt rules, the buyer has one business day after receipt of the equipment to report to Hodgins Online Auctions any significant discrepancy claimed between the described condition of the Equipment received and the condition of the Equipment as described in the Guaranteed Inspection Report.

In the event that a claim is filed and the discrepancy is accepted by Hodgins, Hodgins may, in its sole discretion, choose to refund the purchase price (plus initial transportation costs) to the buyer, or settle such claim in another mutually acceptable manner with the buyer. In the event that a claim is filed and the discrepancy is not accepted by Hodgins, the buyer's sole recourse will be through the Arbitration procedure set out in this Agreement.

Please Note: All claims must be submitted, in writing, to Hodgins prior to Deemed Receipt of the equipment, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions and are subject to a $500 deductible.
